11.2 Food Premises Inspections

Summary Information

Inspection frequencies are determined by the LGA as determined by the premises priority risk classification. As a general guide low risk premises may be inspected annually, medium risk may be inspected every six months and high-risk premises may be inspected every three months. If a premises is compliant the inspection frequency may be reduced whereas if an inspection yields a number of non-compliances the inspection frequency may be increased for that premises.
