Summary Information
Bed and breakfasts include accommodation for less than six persons (greater than this becomes a lodging house in accordance with the Health Act 1911). Unless selling food, there are no statutory inspection requirements for the premises however general hygiene may need to be assessed. Bed and breakfasts operate as low risk food premises and if they contain a swimming pool they will need to be assessed under the Health Act (Aquatic Facilities) Regulations 2007 also.
