Announcement: WALGA’s Online Local Govt Project Map is live

WALGA’s ‘searchable map’ is now available on WALGA’s Climate Change Management Toolkit at http://www.walgaclimatechange.com.au/clickable-map.htm.

The map details climate change projects, programs and policies developed by proactive Local Governments across the State. This map provides a complete picture of the depth and breadth of Local Government’s vital contribution to the climate change management space, and is a visual tool for advocacy on future funding and support needs for the sector.

The map shows the specific details of the projects including contact details of the project ‘owner’ so that Local Governments can communicate with their neighbours and colleagues across the sector to ensure that successful projects are shared, celebrated and efforts not duplicated.

To have your Local Government climate change project uploaded onto the map, you will need to apply to join the secure zone and then log in to submit your project details. Please note that all of the 28 signatories to the Local Government Climate Change Declaration will be uploaded onto the Project Map shortly.

For additional questions, queries with uploading or a requirement to edit your project, please contact Climate Change Coordinator, Caroline Perks at www.cperks@walga.asn.au.
